«The best olive oil I have ever tasted. And the people who serve you are really, really good people. They also make exquisite olives and a homemade soap that is wonderful.»

«And I keep coming back another year: oil, olives and honey, all of it excellent. This year I also bought a jug of oil for each of my children; I think it is a very good gift, valuable and very well received by whoever gets it. Superb!»

«We were welcomed by Mari, an exemplary host, warm and courteous, who explained the olive oil making process to us in full detail and with great care, from the year 1700 to the present day. We want to highlight the excellent quality of their products: the oil, the honey soaps, the almonds, the olives, the wines and the honey, all made with great care and tradition.»

«They have an excellent olive oil! The presentation is very authentic and the quality of the product is spectacular. Making yourself some toast with a drizzle of this oil and a good topping is a great snack or dinner.»

Your questions answered

Frequently asked questions

Why buy extra virgin olive oil straight from the mill?

Buying the drum straight from the producer in Cervià de les Garrigues guarantees the freshest oil of the latest harvest, acidity certified below 0.2º and the best price per litre with no middlemen.

What is the difference between "Oli del Raig" and traditional Arbequina oil?

Oli del Raig is unfiltered arbequina olive oil from the first cold pressing. Keeping the olive's natural microparticles gives it a deeper emerald density and lively aromas of chlorophyll and green apple. The 2 L and 5 L drums are filtered arbequina oil, ideal for everyday use.

How long does delivery take to Germany, France, Switzerland and the rest of Europe?

European deliveries take 2 to 5 working days depending on the country, via priority international couriers, in reinforced thermal boxes that protect against breakage. Within mainland Spain, 24 to 48 hours.

Can I return the oil if I do not like it?

You have 14 calendar days to withdraw from the purchase. For hygiene and health reasons, an already opened bottle or drum cannot be returned unless the product is faulty. If it arrives broken or leaking, we replace it at no cost.

What is the difference between virgin and extra virgin olive oil?

Extra virgin is the top grade: acidity below 0.8º and no sensory defects at all. Virgin allows up to 2º and slight defects. Our arbequina from Les Garrigues stays below 0.2º, four times lower than the legal limit for extra virgin.

What does the Les Garrigues P.D.O. mean?

It is the Protected Designation of Origin covering extra virgin olive oils from the Les Garrigues county in Lleida. It requires the arbequina variety, growing and milling within the area, and a maximum acidity of 0.5º. It is governed by its Regulatory Board and was the first food designation of origin recognised in Spain, according to the official Generalitat record.

How should extra virgin olive oil be stored?

In a cool, dark and dry place, away from heat sources. Light and oxygen are its two enemies: they oxidise the fats and break down the polyphenols. An opened drum is best used within six months; sealed, it keeps up to eighteen from harvest.

What does cold extraction mean?

It means the olive paste never goes above 27 ºC while it is malaxed. Heat raises the yield but destroys aromas and polyphenols. We work below 22 ºC: less oil per kilo of olives, but it keeps the pepperiness and bitterness that define arbequina.

How long does a 5-litre drum last?

It depends on how much you cook, but a family of four cooking daily usually takes three to four months. It is the format with the best price per litre. If you expect to take longer, decant some into a small bottle and keep the drum tightly closed.
